The
Festus & Helen Stacy Foundation was established in 1980
to enhance the lives of others and to spread Christianity
throughout the world. Mr. Stacy always referred to the fortune
made through the APenn and Penn Champ Oil companies as “God’s
money”. (Eccl. 5:19) He founded these companies in
Butler, Pennsylvania in 1932 and presided over them until
1962.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great
delight in His commands. Psalm 112:1
Stacy, a colorful, cigar loving, no nonsense salesman who
grew up selling buggy whips at his father’s hardware
store in his small hometown of Princeton, Missouri, characterized
evangelism as “the greatest business in the world.”
“Confess your mistakes, your sins, give me your soul,
have confidence in Me, I will save your life, you will live
forever, just believe, have faith. You know, it is the best
deal I was ever offered. So I say, Christ, you got a deal…”
More precious than rubies…she can
laugh at the days to come. Proverbs
31:10 - 31
Helen’s greatest gift was her love for others above
self. Helen Stacy was the heart of her home and she watched
over her household with a soft spirit of laughter, dignity,
wisdom and love. Her charm encompassing her outlook on life
was Christ-centered, positive and courageous. She knew that
God was in control and even with the tragic death of her
beloved 19-year-old daughter, Irene Helen Stacy, she stood
strong in her sweet knowledge of this.
Festus Stacy (May 19, 1902 – May 2, 1995) and Helen
Miller Stacy (August 31, 1907 – March 12, 2002) leave
this private family foundation to continue in Christ under
the direction of their daughter, son-in-law, and two grandsons.
Mr. & Mrs. Festus Stacy’s inspiration and intent
will remain as this Foundation reaches out to others through
the love and caring that only Jesus can bring.
